The etching solution seeps into the enamel of your tooth just enough to slightly roughen its surface. The roughness of this area allows the dental resin to adhere to it for a secure bond. Once the resin has hardened, the doctor sculpts it to conform to the overall shape of the tooth then polishes it for a natural appearance.

Cosmetic bonding has the advantage of being a quick procedure producing extremely durable results. The entire bonding procedure takes only an hour or two to complete – a single visit to our office. Yet, with proper care, you can expect this form of restoration to last up to 7 years!
